CoreLogic Partners With TCI for Appraiser Trainee Program
CoreLogic, a California-headquartered global property infor-
mation, analytics, and data solutions provider, announced a part-
nership with Texas-based e Columbia Institute (TCI) to create
an appraiser trainee program. e program will help train the next
generation of appraisers, introducing relevant technology, data,
and analytics into the valuation process, so the number of qualified
appraisals in the market continues to increase.
e Columbia Institute launched in 1992 to serve the appraisal
community with education that specifically contributes to the
professional development and currency of the appraiser. It was
acquired by CoreLogic in September 2016, after which its mission
was expanded to incorporate delivering world-class education and
training anytime, anywhere to power and advance the valuation
industry.
CoreLogic commissioned and underwrote the new appraiser
trainee program through TCI. It will also improve the efficiency of
appraisals by introducing relevant technology, data, and analytics
into the valuation process. e program will target early career tal-
ent and military veterans which will bring new and diverse talent
into the industry and also provide a pathway for veterans to build
rewarding careers outside of the military.
"TCI intends to offer several trainee classes annually across
the country in areas identified with the greatest need," said Vicki
Chenault, Executive, CoreLogic Valuation Solutions. "Qualifying
education necessary for licensure will be delivered by TCI, online
and in the classroom. In addition to the education requirements,
TCI will develop the trainees holistically by adding components of
advanced skill building such as service principles, data, and analyt-
ics to build the competencies necessary for success."
In addition to providing educational offerings, TCI has man-
aged the development of state appraiser licensing and certification
examinations, an annual educational event, and most recently,
hosts a leading appraiser trainee program to develop the next gen-
eration of valuation professionals.
