IN THE NEWS Maine 90+ Day Delinquency Rate 5.36% percent point change Long & Foster Office Recognized by Maryland for Sales Milestone The Bethesda/Gateway office of Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc., in Bethesda, Maryland was recently presented with a proclamation from Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot in recognition of the sales office surpassing $1 billion in settled real estate sales for 2012. Long & Foster is an independent residential real estate company representing more than 12,000 agents in seven Mid-Atlantic states and the District of Columbia. For the last 20 years, the Bethesda/Gateway location has been its top-performing office. The company says its Bethesda/Gateway office is consistently the No. 1 office in sales volume among all residential real estate brokerage firms in Montgomery County, Maryland; Washington, D.C.; and Northern Virginia. The Bethesda/Gateway office is also ranked among the top-producing real estate offices in the United States. Franchot, the third highest ranking elected official in Maryland, presented the proclamation on behalf of the state during a ceremony held at the Bethesda/Gateway office. "I am pleased to recognize the leadership of Long & Foster in the region's real estate recovery and for the economic activity and critical revenues the organization generates for our state," Franchot commented.
