Folks on the search for a home can see up-to-date MLS-listed homes with price points and driving directions. Users can save their favorite homes and searches to their ZipRealty.com account and view multiple price estimates for each home. The app also has push notifications, so when a new home matches the user's search criteria, a message will pop up. Powered by local MLSs, the Redfin Real Estate app provides homebuyers with the most up-to-date information available. Complete home details, hi-resolution photos, property history, and agent notes are updated every 15-30 minutes. The company claims to have 20 percent more agent-listed homes for sale than other national portals, with new listings typically available a week earlier. Users can locate nearby homes for sale, open houses, and sold homes using their smartphone's GPS, and it can all be synchronized with a Redfin user account. The app is free to download and only available for certain areas of the country. Not every house is a home; sometimes it's a great investment vehicle.
