92 CALIFORNIA RONs Come to Mid America California-based NotaryCam announced that Mid America Mortgage is now using its integration with DocMagic to conduct remote online notarizations (RONs) through Doc- Magic's Total eClose platform. Mid America will leverage the integration throughout its retail, correspondent, and wholesale channels. "Since 2016, Mid America's strategy has been 'digital first.' As a result, we have been able to condense our application-to-closing time down to just two weeks and our clos- ing ceremony to 30 minutes or less with our digital mortgage product Click n' Close," said Jeff Bode, Mid America Owner and CEO. "RON allows us to double down on our clos- ing efficiency while also providing additional convenience to our customers. e addition of NotaryCam's remote notary services through our established eClosing partner DocMagic enables us to extend the value we've experi- enced to date through our digital mortgage strategy." To date, NotaryCam has conducted more than 160,000 RON transactions for individu- als located in all 50 states and 90 countries. rough RONs, NotaryCam's team of expe- rienced notaries are able to remotely eNotarize mortgage loan documents or other paper- work for individuals across the country using NotaryCam's secure, easy-to-use platform, the company said. e system does not restrict the number of participants that can join a RON ceremony, allowing all relevant parties to participate in the transaction. "Until recently, mortgage closings still required participants to physically congregate in a single location to complete the trans- action. Today, RON enables lenders and settlement agents to eliminate the closing table without losing the personal connection of the closing ceremony," said Rick Triola, NotaryCam Founder and CEO. "e value of the convenience that RON provides cannot be overstated, and it would behoove mort- gage and settlement professionals to incorpo- rate RON into their existing closing process." Total eClose is DocMagic's comprehensive end-to-end eClosing solution. e integration with NotaryCam, which was first announced in September 2018, allows Mid America Mortgage and Click n' Close to eNotarize documents remotely using NotaryCam's RON service, eliminating the need for homebuyers and sellers to physically appear before a notary to wet-sign loan documents. A New Functionality for Default Servicing Quandis Inc., a default management mort- gage technology provider has incorporated a new functionality into its Military Search service that empowers clients with the ability to easily customize real-time monitoring data analysis that is more explicitly and inclusive in nature. e new functionality returns the most granular searches in the industry for active military personnel along with detailed reporting. Called the Quandis Military Search (QMS), the solution verifies up-to-the-second information on active duty military status to help organizations comply with the Service- members Civil Relief Act (SCRA) of 2003, which has stringent rules and processes that must be followed before starting mortgage foreclosure proceedings on borrowers that hold active duty status in the United States military. Stiff fines, penalties, and lawsuits can result from active military personnel that is improp- erly pursued in the default process. "Our development of QMS monitoring takes SCRA compliance adherence a step further by putting users in full control of their data and preferences as to how, when, and to what degree of finality they would like to execute searches," explained Greg Kent, Vice President of Data Services at Quandis. "Our clients no longer require IT resources to com- pare and detect SCRA status changes." e new functionality works by provid- ing organizations with the ability to define "monitoring cycles" for their data, which automatically runs SCRA searches using both client-defined criteria and schedules. e continual search cycles allow for comparison of key SCRA data points over time thus iden- tifying any changes in SCRA eligibility. e expanded functionality reports on specific data points as defined by unique client needs. QMS automates bulk as well as individual searches and can be used as a standalone solution or as integrated with leading attorney case management systems (CMS), servicing platforms and legacy applications to return and populate search certificates along with California Handling REOs and Corporate Owned Assets for Over 25 Years Joyce Essex Harvey & Sean Freeman Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage 310.720.9067 (c) 310.777.6375 (o) Joyce@EssexHarvey.com EssexHarvey.com Woman-Owned Business Serving Los Angeles County CalDRE#00935813/01366376
