GEORGIA A New App for Online Auctions Hubzu, an online real estate marketing platform, announced the launch of new mobile technology features including a mobile app and SMS notifications. ese features allow Hubzu users to further engage and interact during the search and online auction phases by receiving real-time notifications regarding auction outbids, auction end times, foreclosure auction alerts, auction bid prices, and new properties. Bids can now be placed directly through the mobile app and via SMS, a feature—pro- viding users the flexibility they need to remain connected during an active auction. e Hubzu marketplace features more than 3,500 active properties available for sale, and the new mobile offerings provide additional options for Hubzu users to search, learn, bid, and buy through the tools that they are most comfortable using. OKLAHOMA A Partnership Honoring Veterans Gateway First Bank, one of the ten-largest banks by assets in Oklahoma announced it renewed its annual partnership with Folds of Honor. Since 2007, Folds of Honor has carried forth its mission to provide educational schol- arships to spouses and children of America's fallen and disabled service-members. Beginning in May of 2017, Gateway an- nounced that for every mortgage loan closed through its mortgage centers nationwide, it would donate $5 to Folds of Honor. Gateway extended its partnership with the nonprofit organization in May for an additional year, whereby the company continues its pledge to support the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Gateway is already on track to surpass its total donation of $76,635 in 2018, having donated over $44,000 to in the first half of 2019. Gateway and Folds of Honor co-host a local, monthly event where a Folds of Honor recipient shares how the donations have helped them lessen the financial stress of their educa- tional expenses. During these events, the par- ticipating Gateway mortgage center presents the monthly donation to Folds of Honor. Georgia is among the top five states that have the highest percentage of Opportunity Zone tracts where the median price is less than half the MSA figure, according to an ATTOM Data Solutions report.
