LENDERS AND SERVICERS QUICKEN LOANS PROMOTES AUSTIN NIEMIEC Quicken Loans Mortgage Services recently named Austin Niemiec as EVP. "Niemiec began his career with the company 10 years ago as a mortgage banker, and he embodies a 'street' focus that came from working with thousands of clients over the years," Quicken Loans said in a statement. According to Quicken, he "deeply understands the needs of loan officers and homeowners," bringing that viewpoint to his new role. Niemiec has spent the last two years leading the Account Executives at QLMS through a period of growth, which has prepared him to help the company continue that expansion. SUZY LINDBLOM NAMED PLANET HOME LENDING'S COO Planet Home Lending, LLC (PHL), has named Suzy Lindblom COO. Lindblom, who was previously EVP of National Operations, replaces the company's retiring COO, Michael Kula. Lindblom has been with Planet Home Lending since 2017 and was the architect of an operations platform redesigned to support Planet Home Lending's entry into distributed retail. "Suzy has a great deal of experience in developing process efficiencies in an organization. She finds areas for potential cost savings while keeping customer service levels and loan quality high," said Michael Dubeck, CEO and President of PHL parent Planet Financial Group. "She has perfected the role of being able to juggle those areas of business while maintaining her dedication to serving people." BOB HORA TO LEAD CENLAR'S DEFAULT OPERATIONS Central Loan Administra- tion and Reporting (Cenlar) has hired Bob Hora as SVP of Default Operations. In this role, Hora will re- port to Tony Renzi, Cenlar's President and COO. "Bob is a tremendous addition to our team," Renzi said in a statement. "We have all of the key pieces in place that allow us to anticipate and respond to our clients' changing needs, and to provide them with the innovative, technology-driven solutions that will drive their success in the marketplace." Prior to joining Cenlar, Hora held senior positions at some of the country's premier financial institu- tions, including Bank of America, Fannie Mae, GMAC Rescap, and Wells Fargo. He has built and led default operations across diverse portfolios and mega-scale and multiple-site operations. He has also consulted widely on default servicing in the industry. GATEWAY FIRST BANK HIRES BANK SECRETARY ACT OFFICER Gateway First Bank, one of the 10 largest banks in Oklahoma, has appointed Tiffany Sizemore as its Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer. In this role, Sizemore is responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of Gateway's BSA compliance program and coordination with state and federal regulators on these matters. "We are happy to welcome Tiffany to the team. She has a strong knowledge of banking laws, regulations and operations relative to the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money-laundering measures, and related matters," said Scott Gesell, CAO of Gateway. "Her strong commitment to ethics and familiarity with regulatory and operational activities make Tiffany a strong asset to the team. We look forward to working with her." JOHN CARTER TO LEAD NATIONWIDE'S FINANCIAL SERVICES ARM John Carter has been named as the President and COO-elect of Nationwide's financial services business lines, effective immediately. Carter succeeds Kirt Walker, who will become Nationwide's next CEO in October. Reporting to Walker, Carter will oversee the company's retirement plans, life insurance (individual, business, and corporate- owned), annuities, and mutual funds business operations. "John brings more than 30 years of financial services industry experience to this role," Walker said. "roughout his career, he has demonstrated outstanding leadership, both in terms of results and people. John is a strong advocate for the retirement security of America's workers—helping them prepare for and live in retirement. We look forward to achieving continued success under his guidance." SERVICE PROVIDERS INDUSTRY VETERAN VICTOR DRAPER ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT After more than 12 years of service, ProVest CRO Victor Draper has announced that he will be stepping down. Draper has spent more than 35 years in the mortgage default industry and says he will continue to support the sector in retirement. In a statement, Draper said, "After more than 35 years in the mortgage default industry, I am excited to see what the next chapter in life may hold. I am looking forward to spending quality time with my wife, Deanna, my four children, and my granddaughter." Draper credits one of his most significant accomplishments as "putting together a team of people with different thoughts and ideas and watching them collaborate, respect, and learn from their differences and accomplish great things."
