85 HALLIE GREENE Warren Greene Management and Consulting, LLC, Principal Hallie Greene enjoys using her 20+ years of industry experience to help WGMAC clients achieve their goals. She is grateful to be an owner of her company as it allows her the flexibility to spend important time with her family. "I am the mom of a child with special needs and a guardian of my brother who has autism. I have a passion for helping people and currently serve as President of the Board of Directors for Citizens Options Unlimited in New York," she said. Greene added that like many women, finding a balance between work, children, and family can be challenging. However, she tries to stay present wherever she is. "I give 100% to my work and if I am home with my family, I give 100% to them. It is not always easy to maintain a 100% presence in my current environment, but I try my best to stay conscience of this goal each day," she said. Starting her company has been the highlight of her career, she told DS News, noting she and Jennifer Warren worked together for two decades before starting Warren Greene Management and Consulting, LLC (Warren-Greene.com). "We share the same work ethic, enthusiasm for the industry and love of tackling challenges. Cofounding a Certified Women-Owned Small Business with one of my great friends has been an amazing experience and is the highlight of my career to date," she said. Challenges she foresees in 2020 are the increasing cost of doing business for mortgage servicers and law firms as a result of continued scrutiny, evolving needs, and inflation. "Mortgage professionals must find ways to handle their work efficiently and effectively without sacrificing quality," she said. NUMBER OF YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY: 20 KELI HEISEY Diaz Anselmo Lindberg, P.A., Operations Director Keli Heisey has worked in both mortgage originations and default but noted that she prefers working for a law firm. She enjoys the challenges presented by this type of work, including "learning the operations of a law firm, managing production, teams of people, implementing strategic objectives, planning, process improvements, and always striving to take our operations to the next level." One career highlight for Heisey was working with a firm in a consulting capacity, conducting on-site analysis for the purpose of identifying overall business improvements and establishing an action plan around their case-management system. •e outcome of her plan brought increased productivity, reduced expenses, and improved quality. Heisey believes that legal professionals can help servicers by working together to find ways to leverage technology and processes in improving their operational needs. "•is helps strategize on future roadblocks and focuses on proficiencies." Heisey also expressed that she enjoys "evaluating opportunities within the firm and creating efficiencies and incorporating innovation." To prepare for the challenging legal landscape, Heisey revealed that her firm is providing the highest level of customer service, meeting clients' requirements, and continually evaluating and implementing process improvements and efficiencies. NUMBER OF YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY: 18 LYNN M. JANEWAY Janeway Law Firm, P.C. (CO)— President and Majority Shareholder Janeway Law Firm, LLC (AZ, CA, OR, WA)—Managing Member Lynn M. Janeway built a solid foundation for her more than 30-year career by first receiving her undergraduate degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Illinois. She then attended the university's College of Law, primarily hoping to add skills that would assist her in someday owning her own business. Instead, she discovered a true affinity for law. Janeway parlayed this passion into the founding of her own firm in 2004, which remains a career highlight. "Opening my firm allowed me to teach and instill in my attorneys and employees the desire to go the extra mile in service to our clients," Janeway said. Owning and managing a firm that serves the mortgage industry has allowed Janeway to work on solving not only legal issues that arise but also the operational challenges that exist in this detailed and volume-based business. "Creative problem-solving is the skill I find most useful, as it is equally valuable in its application to specific files and to overall operations. I want to find not just a solution but the best solution," Janeway said. She believes that legal professionals can help clients meet their compliance objectives by reviewing the processes and recommending state-specific adjustments when necessary to decrease potential liability. "I draw inspiration from my clients," Janeway said. ˆe servicing industry attracts some of the most talented and dedicated people which I've had the pleasure of working with as clients or on my very own team at Janeway Law Firm."
