First up, we are enormously proud to bring you our cover story, "What About Bob?"—a profile of mortgage industry veteran Bob Caruso and his new venture, mortgage subservicer ServiceMac. We were honored to get the chance to spend the day visiting Caruso and his team in-office, and in this piece we dive deep into Carso's career, leadership style, and work philosophy, as well as the particulars of how his ServiceMac partners are trying to revolutionize servicing. is issue also includes "Finding Your Voice" by our DS News Editorial Advisory Board member Dawn Adams, SVP, Default Servicing, at RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing Corporation. Next up, Denis Brosnan, President and CEO of DIMONT, brings us "A Proactive Approach to Loss Mitigation." In this piece, Bronsan explores how mortgage loss analysis can help mitigate negative impacts at the portfolio level. Finally, the theme of starting over comes full circle in "Growing Something New." A decade ago, attorney Mark Wittstadt watched as the firm he'd helped build collapse under a cloud of fraud and embezzlement.
