servicing industry. Functions performed at the new 22,000-square-foot facility include client account relations, operations, loss management, field quality control, and code compliance. Alan Jaffa, Safeguard's CEO, explained the company selected the Richardson location because of its proximity to many of Safeguard's major clients and the availability of additional space to accommodate future growth and expansion. "We are proud to be the first tenant in this excellent facility," Jaffa said. "It provides a high-quality work environment and great amenities for our employees, and a local base of operations to better serve our clients located in the Dallas area. We look forward to contributing to the growth and vitality of the community." Field Asset Services Introduces Flexible Mobile Survey Field Asset Services (FAS), a provider of pre-foreclosure, REO, and renovation field services to mortgage servicers and investors, announced the release of Flexible Mobile Survey, an add-on to the company's FAStrack Mobile platform. Flexible Mobile Survey assists field asset vendors by delivering a customized work order in the form of a survey directly to their smartphone. FAS's mobile tool uses voice response technology, freeing vendors from the need to take written notes during property visits. The tool also allows FAS' quality control personnel to connect with vendors in realtime to direct them through survey questions during property visits. Users are able to add or modify mobile survey questions as well. "Our Flexible Mobile Survey delivers the flexibility that clients need in order to quickly obtain the most up-to-date details regarding a particular asset or asset group," said Dale McPherson, president and CEO of FAS. "With the ability to create customized questions, we're able to move beyond generic work orders and drill down to specific details about a property that need to be verified." McPherson added, "Clients receive additional value because of the efficiency at which we're able to operate—days instead of weeks—from creation to deployment of the surveys, including delivery of customized reports in whatever format a client prefers." The surveys were developed by FAS in collaboration with lead vendors and clients 106 who requested the survey application. The application also offers the same security benefits as the company's FAStrack Mobile platform and protects servicers against fraud. The mobile survey attaches certified time, date, and GPS-driven location stamping to all property data, which then goes to a thirdparty cloud storage solution. FAS' quality control personnel can pull the secure data, verify it, and generate reports for clients. Austin-based FAS is a subsidiary of FirstService Corporation, a property preservation, REO maintenance, and repair services company.
