SUMMIT
The 11th semi-annual Legal League
100 Servicer Summit once again
brought together key industry players
for a day of meaningful dialogue and collaboration to
address today's most pressing issues. Members of the
League joined lenders, servicers, GSE representatives,
and other industry experts at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton
Dallas on April 18. Open-forum discussions touched on
a wide range of subjects, from dealing with the most
common and creative foreclosure defenses to operating
effectively in this new era of audits and supervisory
scrutiny. The keynote luncheon featured a presentation
from the event's lead sponsor, ABC Legal, followed
by an economic address from the Five Star Institute's
chief economist, Mark Lieberman, who spoke about the
influence of housing on the economy and vice versa.
A private reception topped the day, hosted at Sisu
Uptown Resort where the lei-clad and hibiscus-flowered
reception-goers enjoyed complimentary hors d'oeuvres,
cocktails, and an evening of powerhouse networking.
