FITCH RATINGS APPOINTS MICHAEL PALADINO HEAD OF NORTH AMERICA STRUCTURED FINANCE Fitch Ratings announced the appointment of Managing Director Michael Paladino as its new head of Structured Finance for North America. Paladino will report to Rui Pereira, Fitch's Analytical Global Group Head of Structured Finance. Prior to joining the Structured Finance leadership team, Paladino headed Fitch's U.S. Leveraged Finance platform and oversaw coverage for Real Estate & Leisure teams within Fitch's Corporate Finance group. Prior to joining Fitch 14 years ago, Paladino was a sell-side research analyst for UBS and also worked as a buy-side analyst. "Mike's strong credit experience and management skills along with the importance that he places on investor outreach will serve Fitch's structured finance teams well in reinforcing Fitch's credit leadership position," Pereira said. SLK GLOBAL STRENGTHENS TITLE & TAX SOLUTIONS TEAM SLK Global Solutions, a provider of technology- enabled platform solutions for the financial services industry, announced that Alan Shumate has been hired as VP of Business Development in a move that will strengthen SLK's title and tax solutions team. In his new role, Shumate will oversee the growth of the company's title support services business and platform-based solutions, including SmartProp for property title search reports and SmartTrak for property tax reports. "Alan has extensive background in the title and settlement industry and shares our principles of delivering transformative products and solutions in this space," SLK EVP for Title and Tax Shannon Cobb said. Shumate, who will also be responsible for strategically growing SLK's customer base of title insurance agents, has more than 15 years' experience in the financial services industry. He most recently served as vice president of fiduciary banking at Capital Bank, where he was responsible for acquiring and maintaining title agents' escrow and operating accounts. He has also held roles at Bank of America, require, and RynohLive.
