IN THE NEWS Homebuyers Overall Pleased with Purchase Experience Almost two-thirds of homeowners who purchased homes in the past 10 years consider their homebuying experience "excellent" or "very good," according to the results of a nationwide survey conducted by Portland, Maine-based TD Bank. However, among the positives, TD Bank did find some room for improvement in certain areas. About 55 percent of survey respondents rated their ability to find a good real estate agent and their experience with the inspection and appraisal process as "excellent" or "very good." Finding the right lender seemed to be a little more difficult than finding the right agent. About 53 percent of respondents rated their ability to find the right lender as "excellent" or "very good." Among those who rated their overall homebuying experience as positive, 83 percent reported having "very good" interaction with their lender, which according to TD Bank reveals "how critical banks and lenders are to customer attitudes toward creating a positive homebuying experience." 15.0% note: The 90+ day delinquecy rate is the percentage of outstanding mortgage loans that are seriously delinquent. The nonprofit chose IndiSoft's technology for its ability to equip counselors with a comprehensive case management system. "Other housing counseling products are available, but none have the high level of functionality, a direct link to the Hope LoanPort, or the level of support that IndiSoft's solution has," said Carolyn McCormack, AVP of SafeGuard Credit Counseling Services. "We can now easily maintain contact with clients, organize and track documents, and run reports that meet our internal quality control requirements as well as ensure counselors provide the best service possible to consumers." IndiSoft president and CEO Sanjeev Dahiwadkar says RxOffice can be used in a number of ways to assist homeowners with financial decisions. "Whether it is an REO or pre-purchasing or lease-to-own scenario, this portal allows counselors to manage a variety of cases," he said. 93
