Spransy has been with MCS since 2006 and began her career with the company as an asset preservation coordinator. As VP of vendor management, she supervises vendor recruitment and training, among other duties. First American Title Insurance Announces New National Sales Director In California, Rudy Casanova joined the mortgage services division at First American Title Insurance as national sales director. Casanova has more than 10 years' sales and marketing experience in the mortgage default servicing industry. At First American, he is responsible for overseeing the company's national default servicing sales team. IndiSoft Selects VP of Business Development Technology development firm IndiSoft hired Brad Urquhart to head business development as VP. Urquhart is tasked with developing new partnerships for the use of WipeOut, an application that removes sensitive data that is no longer needed from the hard drive of a server, PC, or laptop. Previoulsy, Urquhart served as national business development director at National 1 Source. HPF Recognizes Money Management International Counselor The Homeownership Preservation Foundation (HPF) named Daniel Burnham, a HUD-approved housing counselor with Money Management International, Counselor of the Year. Burnham, who works out of the nonprofit's Rhode Island office, was selected out of nearly 400 housing counselors. Burnham received recognition for his ability to guide homeowners through the budgeting and loss mitigation process. Rosenberg & Associates Adds Three Attorneys to Firm Rosenberg & Associates, LLC, brought in three new attorneys to join the firm. Ariel W. Reed was hired as an associate and practices in the area of foreclosure. Reed earned a bachelor's degree from Florida State University and received her Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Young Lawyer's Conference, and Real Property Section of the Virginia State Bar. Bryan E. Concepcion also came on board as an associate attorney. Concepcion received his bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and his Juris Doctorate from the Michigan State University College of Law. He is admitted to appear before all courts in the state of Virginia. Concepcion is also a member of the Virginia State Bar and Virginia Bar Association and is involved in such organizations as the National Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, and Washington Bar Association. Scott E. Gardner was added to the team of attorneys at Rosenberg & Associates. Gardner earned his bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech and his Juris Doctorate from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. Gardner is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Roanoke County/Salem Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice in all state courts and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia. WFG National Title Expands Support for Midwest Agency Group WFG National Title Insurance Company announced two new additions to the company's Midwest Agency group. Samuel Shellhaas, Esq., was hired to serve as VP and Midwest underwriting counsel, and Kelley Shellhaas, Esq., was named assistant Midwest underwriting counsel. Together, the duo will provide underwriting support, guidance, and education for underwriters located in the Midwest region. Mr. Shellhaas brings 20 years' experience to WFG National Title. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law and is currently the president of the Ohio Land Title Association (OLTA). Ms. Shellhaas comes to WFG National Title with 11 years' experience, most recently serving as an associate underwriting counsel in Ohio. She earned a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School. Potestivo & Associates Appoints Director of Human Resources Potestivo & Associates, P.C., hired Candice L. Hope to serve as director of human resources at the firm's Rochester Hills, Michigan, office. Hope joined the firm with more than 13 years' human resources experience. As director, she oversees daily functions in the human resources department and is involved in other operational responsibilities as necessary. Polsinelli Hires Counsel for Real Estate Finance Group Polsinelli, a law firm serving corporations, institutions, entrepreneurs, and individuals, selected Anoush Hakimi as counsel for its national real estate finance group. Hakimi has extensive experience handling complex real estate financial transactions. Hakimi received his law degree from the University of California's Los Angeles School of Law. In addition, Gen X buyers tend to have a higher income and spend more on a home. NAR reported the median income for Gen X buyers was $93,100, and they paid a median of $235,000 when purchasing a home. For millennial buyers, median income was $66,200, while their median home purchase price was $165,000. The survey also found reasons vary for buying a home, with 50 percent of millennials stating the desire to own as the main reason for buying, compared to only 7 percent among buyers age 67 to 87 and 32 percent of Gen X buyers. Finding the right property was named as the most difficult step in the homebuying process for at least 46 percent of buyers across all age groups. Obtaining a mortgage was cited as the most difficult step by just 16 percent of millennials and 9 percent of buyers age 58 to 66.
