RE/MAX of New Jersey Selects EverBank as Preferred Lender RE/MAX of New Jersey Inc. has selected EverBank as a preferred lender, the companies announced jointly. Working together, the two companies will strive to provide a wide range of residential real estate and home mortgage financing products and services to RE/MAX clients across New Jersey. "New Jersey is a great but also a diverse and complex real estate market, and what makes the combined efforts of EverBank and RE/MAX so powerful is the sharp client focus both companies bring to the state and our combined ability to help our clients through every step of the home-buying process," said Tony Clintock, SVP and sales manager of EverBank's northeast division. "We know this market and this region, and we understand that New Jersey homebuyers need a wide range of innovative mortgage products to meet their needs. We're really proud and excited to be working with like-minded associates at RE/MAX," Clintock added. EverBank has four residential lending offices in the state and an operations center in Woodbridge. EverBank's residential lending team has decades of experience in New Jersey and an understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing homeowners and buyers in the Garden State, the companies noted. "EverBank, like RE/MAX, is customer service driven," said Amanda Brown, regional director of RE/MAX of New Jersey. "Nothing is more important than servicing our clients and making their home purchase a positive experience." 2.7% 7.6% year-over-year change -6.3% -11.3% Top Core-Based Statistical area GraNTS, NM 90+ Day Delinquency Rate Foreclosure Rate May 2013 2.7% 5.1% year ago 2.0% 5.8% year-over-year change 34.7% -13.1% note: The 90+ day delinquecy rate is the percentage of outstanding mortgage loans that are seriously delinquent. IN THE NEWS Task Force Tackles New Mexico's 'Housing Desert' The Northeast New Mexico Housing Task Force convened its second meeting on July 17 in Albuquerque, bringing together housing professionals to identify and come up with solutions to housing issues drastically affecting northeast New Mexico. The task force was created by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to help identify the reasons for the "housing desert" that is evident in the northeast quadrant of the state and develop solutions to the issues plaguing the area. Colfax, Harding, Mora, Quay, San Miguel, and Union counties comprise the northeast quadrant. In Q2, the Realtors Association of New Mexico reports homes sales in all six counties totaled 43, less than 1 percent of sales statewide. At the first meeting of the task force in June, participants identified the following as hindering housing expansion in the northeast: limited access to financing, bad credit, low population, and difficulty engaging contractors. 87
