FROM OUR DESK An Event a Decade in the Making It's September, and we all know what that means—it's Five Star time. DS News is the media sponsor of this year's Five Star Conference, as it has been in years past, and we're excited to have the opportunity again to meet and talk face-to-face with the many DS News readers who make their way to Dallas for the occasion. This year, the Five Star Conference celebrates its 10th year—a milestone event indeed, and one we're thrilled to be sharing with those of you who'll be in attendance. default servicing | in print and online for me rly PUBLISHER EDITORIAL DIRECTOR DESIGN DSNEWS.COM EDITOR DSNEWS.COM VIDEO EDITOR STAFF WRITER CONTRIBUTING WRITERS One topic covered in the conference agenda that's garnered a lot of interest from attendees and DS News readers alike is regulatory compliance. This same hot-button is a centerpiece of this month's cover story, "New World Order" on page 82, which looks at how the various sectors within default servicing have evolved over the past few years. Compliance also takes the spotlight in Sue Allon's piece on page 88 and Matthew Abad's article on page 92. You've said compliance is top-of-mind for you, and we've made it top-of-mind for us too. Hopefully we can discuss it further when we see you in Dallas September 8-10 for the 10th Anniversary of the Five Star Conference and Expo. We'll be on hand to meet new industry contacts, interview market experts, and gather insight to share with you in upcoming issues. See you there!
