The company, formed by Concentric Equity Partners (CEP) and TDR Capital (TDR), now owns Mortgage Contracting Services, LLC (MCS), Asset Management Specialists, Inc. (AMS), and Vacant Property Specialists, LLC (VPS). CEP is a private investment firm based in Chicago, and TDR is a private equity firm headquartered in London. The holding company is led by MCS CEO Caroline Reaves, but the three companies will continue to be managed separately, according to a joint statement. "The common ownership of these three companies, with their unique strengths and proficiencies, will strengthen our collective ability to serve our clients and expand opportunities to develop ancillary services across multiple customer channels," Reaves said. "In addition, an expanded field-level vendor network will result in leveraged compliance and regulatory response capabilities. These benefits will reaffirm our commitment to remain as leading field service companies in the mortgage industry." "Our immediate goal and focus is to continue providing exceptional performance and customer service to the existing customers of MCS, AMS, and VPS," added Ernie Stefkovic, CEO of AMS. MCS, based in Plano, Texas, provides property inspections, property preservation, and REO property maintenance for the financial services industry. AMS provides field services, rental management, general contracting, marketing, software solutions, and mobile applications to the financial services industry. VPS specializes in securing vacant properties across a wide range of residential and commercial sectors. Wingspan Gives Back with Two-Day Charity Event Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, a Dallasbased diversified mortgage services provider, sponsored a two-day charity golf tournament, exclusive VIP movie screening, and private concert event featuring five-time Grammy Award winner Wynonna Judd. The company's Heroes & Hope event kicked off October 7 in Frisco, Texas, with a performance by Judd. The Wingspan Gives Back Charity Golf Tournament took place the next day, with the event concluding that evening with an exclusive sneak preview of The Hornet's Nest, a documentary film that follows ABC News journalist Mike Boettcher and his son, Carlos Bottcher, who spent time embedded in U.S. forces fighting on the front lines in Afghanistan. MMREM Ranks No. 80 on Inc. 500/5000 Matt Martin Real Estate Management (MMREM), a provider of real property services to the public and private sector, ranked No. 80 on this year's Inc. 500/5000 list, up from No. 116 in 2012. In the real estate category, Texas-based MMREM was also recognized as the thirdfasting-growing company, and in the Dallasarea, the sixth. MMREM received the recognition after increasing revenue by 3,982 percent over a three-year period ending in 2012. To be included on the list, sales growth must be at least 918.59 percent over three years. Chase Lays Off More than 500 Mortgage Employees in North Texas More than 500 of JPMorgan Chase's mortgage finance employees in the North Texas area received pink slips as the bank scaled back its troubled loan assistance operations in the wake of a recovering housing market. According to documents filed with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act, Chase laid off 451 employees in its Fort Worth-based home lending office and an additional 52 employees at its mortgage banking operation in Coppell. In its filing with TWC, the bank said the layoffs represent one of "a number of steps to align [Chase's] mortgage business support activities to the current market environment." Employees at both locations were given 60-day notices. In the filing, Chase said it is committed to helping those employees find other jobs within the company for which they are qualified and will provide outplacement assistance and other severance benefits to those who are eligible. 93
