» VISIT US ONLINE @ DSNEWS.COM 91 IN THE NEWS Hutchens Law Opens Office In South Carolina Hutchens Law Firm, a default service law office based in North Carolina, announced that it has opened an office in Columbia, South Carolina. e new Columbia office is the fourth for Hutchens Law and the firm's first in South Carolina. e new office is led by managing attor- ney John Kay and practicing attorneys John Kelchner and Ashley Z. Stanley. Combined, the three have 52 years of experience related to default issues in South Carolina. ey have concluded more than 10,000 foreclosures in the state since 2003. "We have spent considerable time choos- ing South Carolina lawyers to join our firm," Hutchens Law Firm founding partner Terry Hutchens said. "We now cover all the Caroli- nas in providing default services to our clients." Hutchens covered all matters related to default services, including foreclosure, loss mitigation, bankruptcy, eviction, REO, litigation, deed-in-lieu, and title curative. e three attorneys in the new Columbia office have been active in current default services issues, such as manufactured homes, home- owners associations, and general issues related to housing. eir experience includes tackling the issue of compliance with two new admin- istrative orders issued by the South Carolina Supreme Court that have impacted the processing of foreclosures in the state. e three attorneys established a process in regard to the utilization of the recently passed "Expedited Foreclosure" statute (Sen- ate Bill S1007).
