The greatest indicator of success is the legacy left behind.
Whether being provided with an encouraging word or a hard truth, building a trusting, long-
term relationship with the right teacher can be the difference between achievement and
failure. It allows you to glean the experience of those who have "been there and done that"
in the industry and hopefully avoid the mistakes of the past. Mentors in turn get the rich
experience of passing down their knowledge to the next generation and ensuring that the
noble promise of the profession continues.
