20 Now in its ninth year, the semi-annual Legal League 100 Servicer Summit took place on April 14, 2016 in Dallas, Texas and featured unique, open-forum roundtable discussions and first-class networking designed to help attendees steer through the uncharted waters of our ever-changing mortgage industry. is day-long gathering of industry professionals laid the course for active, collaborative discussions with attorney- and associate- members of the Legal League 100, as well as experts from the lending and servicing communities. Members and invited guests heard from representatives from the government and leaders in business such as Christopher Dove, Director of Operations, Homeownership Preservation Office, U.S. Department of Treasury; Tod Edel, deputy general counsel and managing director, Fannie Mae; the Honorable Joseph J. Murin, chairman of JJAM Financial Services, co-chairman of Chrysalis Financial Holdings; Diane ompson, Managing Counsel, Office of Regulations, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau; and Edward Pinto, co-director, International Center on Housing Risk, American Enterprise Institute. During the event, it was announced that Neil R. Sherman, managing attorney at Detroit-based Schneiderman & Sherman P.C., has been elected as Chairperson to the group's Advisory Council. Sherman and Five Star Institute President and CEO Ed Delgado, who also acts as Ex-Officio of the Legal League 100, both spoke to the need for the group to turn its mission toward advocacy in their opening remarks to the event.
