NORTH CAROLINA ALAW Expands into North Carolina ALAW, full-service creditor's rights law firm representing institutional and private lenders in several southern states, has expanded into North Carolina with the opening of a new Charlotte office, according to an announce- ment from the firm. e firm also announced the hiring of Joe ompson as managing attorney to oversee op- erations at the new Charlotte location. omp- son's primary focus is in real estate, which includes residential and commercial closings for buyers, sellers, lenders, and developers. ompson's extensive litigation experience in the mortgage servicing industry includes representing national financial institutions, general lender counsel, and one of the Caroli- nas' largest real estate developers. ompson is an active member of both the North Carolina Bar and South Carolina Bar. "e expansion into North Carolina is an important step forward in ALAW's strategic growth plan into key markets where attorneys admitted to the state bar must be present or in- volved in closings," said Jonathan Sawyer, Partner at ALAW. "We are also fortunate to welcome Joe ompson to oversee operations in Charlotte. Joe's tremendous legal experience and consider- able local knowledge are key in providing clients with best in class service from day one." ALAW was founded as Albertelli Law in 1997 by James E. Albertelli. With the opening of the Charlotte office, the firm now has "brick and mortar" offices in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas. TEXAS MCS Announces Formation of MCS Solutions Mortgage Contracting Services, LLC (MCS) has announced the formation of MCS Solutions in order to incorporate the company's valuations, title services, and steel security product line, according to an an- nouncement from MCS. Chad Mosley, who joined MCS in 2008 as assistant vice president of business develop- ment and has served as senior vice president with the company since 2012, has been pro- moted to the position of chief operating officer of MCS Solutions. In his new role, Mosley will assume executive responsibilities for MCS Valuations, MCS Title, and Vacant Property Services (VPS). For the last four years, the company has grown substantially as Mosley has overseen business development efforts, industry relations initiatives, and corporate expansion in his role as SVP. "MCS has continued to grow by expanding our product offerings and adding new clients," CEO Caroline Reaves said. "We also have entered the title and valuation space through our recent acquisitions. During this time of growth, it is critical that we maintain our focus on the field services business and continue to provide first-class service to our clients while increasing our title and valuations footprint. e formation of MCS Solutions with Chad at the helm will help facilitate that growth." MCS will continue the company's field services work under the leadership of chief operating officer John Maxwell. MCS is celebrating its 30th year of pro- tecting and preserving communities across the nation in 2016. Services provided by MCS include property inspections, property preservation, REO property maintenance, valuations, and other mortgage-related services in all 50 states for some of the largest and most respected banks and mortgage servicers in the industry. In addition to the corporate head- quarters which is moving from Plano, Texas, to Lewisville, Texas, this summer, MCS also has offices in Tampa, Florida, and Ruston, Louisiana.
