One of the unique factors about NFR is that although the default servicing industry has traditionally been a male dominated industry, NFR's employee population is comprised of 80% female and Its management team is comprised of 53% females. We don't find it odd because we feel we have a balanced team and we stress working together as a team to achieve the company's goals and mission. As the industry has grown, the number of women in the field has grown including those in upper management roles. We all have differing strengths and it is those combined strengths that have been a large part of NFR's success. e ideas and input from our employees are intuitive and without boundaries regarding our differences. We are proud that our employees have combined into a solid and versatile team. We tend to laugh a lot. Gender has no bearing on the way NFR functions. All of our employees offer diverse skill sets, both from a business perspective and a personal one. ey bring empathy and positive aspects to the workplace, are compassionate and ready to assist wherever there is a need, and are able to problem-solve with ease, patience, and sensitivity; all while bringing an aspect of inclusion for all. Our employees understand the nature of our business and provide big picture thinking. At NFR, it is acceptable to be female, male, over fifty or right out of school, or anything else; we love how our differences make NFR unique. We see the value in history and new ideas collectively knowing that new ideas and technology can reduce production time while relying on our long term employees' experiences to solve sometimes difficult issues. is is readily apparent in our female management staff. ese managers are extraordinarily giving people, able to provide encouragement, and find ways to positively motivate their employees. ey are open minded, find varying ways to work through issues, and find solutions within the entire management team. Like all of our management staff, they are true leaders. Sue Ouellette, Inspections Manager and Pamela Brown, Human Resources Manager reflected on what it means to work at NFR.
