PRESIDENT OF GINNIE MAE MAKES EXIT Ted Tozer announced that he will be leaving Ginnie Mae after serving as president for seven years. At Ginnie, which oversees securitizations of Federal Housing Administration and Department of Veterans Affairs loans, Tozer played an integral role in ensuring that the mortgage market not only functioned, but kept up with changes following the financial crisis. Prior to joining Ginnie, Tozer was with Taylor, Bean & Whitaker. He was also the SVP of capital markets for National City Mortgage. SELENE FINANCE WELCOMES NEW SVP Selene Finance announced the addition of Mitch Oringer to the position of SVP of REO and Valuations. Oringer has considerable experience in overseeing the acquisition and servicing of nonperforming loans with a focus on REO disposition, portfolio management, and loss mitigation. Oringer was most recently employed by Auction.com, where he was the VP of residential operations and was tasked with increasing the bidding activity on the site to facilitate the sale of REO properties. He has also held various management positions at Shelving Rock Partners, e National Group, and GMAC Rescap. "I believe that finding opportunities to get a higher return on a well- rehabbed home doesn't just benefit the company, but it also helps to strengthen local communities and provide hard-working families the opportunity to buy a turn-key home." - Mitch Oringer, SVP of REO and Valuations, Selene Finance RENOVO FINANCIAL TAPS FORMER FANNIE MAE EXECUTIVE AS EVP Peter G. Poidomani has been hired as an EVP of portfolio management at Renovo Financial, where he will oversee the firm's portfolio and strengthen the organization's foundation as it continues its expansive growth. He will also be responsible for optimizing the portfolio management process, risk management, and ensuring that internal operations are executed with efficiency. Prior to joining Renovo, Poidomani was an executive at Fannie Mae, where he created a production platform that managed a property portfolio in excess of $2 billion. In addition to his work with the GSE, Poidomani has worked at Fieldstone Mortgage, Aurora National Bank, and Cityscape Mortgage in New York. CALYXSOFTWARE TAPS NEW DIRECTOR OF MARKETING Patrice Power was appointed as the Director of Marketing for CalyxSoftware, a provider of software solutions for players in the mortgage industry. A 30-year veteran of the marketing and management fields, Power will be brought in to oversee the development and running of the firm's marketing strategy for its various offerings, including: Point, PointCentral, and PathSoftware, which are all loan origination systems, INK-it, an electronic signature system, and Webcaster, a DIY website solution. Prior to joining CalyxSoftware, Power was employed by LenderLive, a mortgage services provider for financial companies, as the SVP of Marketing. Before that, she headed the B2B marketing, advertising, and PR divisions for Sabre Holdings, where she was Director of Marketing. LAW FIRMS ANNOUNCE MERGER McCalla Raymer Pierce LLC and Hunt Leibert Jacobson P.C. have announced that they will merge to become one firm. With more than 70 years of combined experience, the firm's name will change to McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce, LLC and will have offices in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, and Mississippi. McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce LLC will focus its practice in residential and commercial real estate services including foreclosure, title curative, bankruptcy, eviction, commercial origination and workout transactions, complex litigation, title curative litigation, Abstracts and Claims Defense, defensive litigation, and REO and retail. CLARK CAPITAL NAMES NEW CEO Clark Capital Management Group, an independent asset manager, announced the promotion of Brendan Clark to CEO of the company. Brendan Clark joined Clark Capital in 2001 and held multiple positions, including EVP of Business Development and President. As President, he directed all business development and marketing efforts and oversaw the creation and execution of key strategic relationships with broker-dealer partners and national platforms. ALTERRA HOME LOANS HIRES CHIEF LEARNING OFFICER Las Vegas, Nevada- based Alterra Home Loans announced the hiring of Rene Rodriguez to the role of Chief Learning Officer. With over 20 years of experience with mortgage technology, Rodriguez served as CEO of BetterLoanOfficer.com.
