Under the agree- ment, Safeguard will take on BofA's vendor network and field service employees from the bank's three facilities—two in California and one in Texas. Safeguard will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the bank's portfolio of defaulted and REO properties. The deal is scheduled to close within 60 Safeguard Properties announced last to 90 days of the companies' August 2 an- nouncement. The cost of the acquisition and the number of BofA employees to transition to Safeguard was not disclosed. A Safeguard spokesperson said until closing, the company is not in a position to discuss the details.
