It provides traditional title insurance and settlement services to loan originators on a national basis as well as offering various products and services related to buying, selling, and servicing distressed and REO assets. The company has an unwavering commitment to provide every consumer, originator, investor, and servicer with an unparalleled customer experience with every transaction. It is obsessed with providing world-class service to its clients and their customers and believes it is the best in the business. COMPANY HISTORY: Avenue 365 was founded in January 2010. The senior management team had already worked together for about eight years building and managing another national title insurance agency. This was sold in 2008 and subsequently managed for the purchaser. The senior team was looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to build something—once again from scratch—that would be better than the predecessor and that would offer best-in-class service, technology, compliance, and customer experiences. From that desire to "do it again, only better," Avenue 365 was born. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: Avenue 365 was one of the very first national title firms to adopt and fully comply with the ALTA Best Practices—and did so enthusiastically. "The ALTA Best Practices initiative codified and enhanced practices that we were already employing in order to be transparent, compliant, and accountable to our clients, their customers, and regulators," said company president Ryan Peterson. The company has had, since just after inception, a full-time compliance attorney on staff and regularly conducts internal compliance audits, employee training, and Best Practices reviews. Avenue 365 has already been vetted by the most rigorous standards in the industry by its underwriters (Fidelity, Old Republic, and WFG) and by servicers, banks, investors, and non-bank lending institutions. And it is already ALTA Best Practices compliant. When you conduct business with Avenue 365, the company makes it easy for you to vet, verify, and document that it is a vendor/ partner you and your customers can trust. KEY FEATURES/BENEFITS: » Significant experience and representative transactions with banks, investors, equity funds, and government agencies trading distressed asset pools » Prominent exposure in the REO, deed-in-lieu, short sale space with a significant client roster of servicers and asset managers » Expertl management of whole loan sales, whole loan acquisition, bulk acquisition, single family aggregation throughout entire lifecycle » One of the only national firms with single-point-of- contact and centralized operations center for all services, all trades, all transaction types, in all states » Significant commercial services team with deep experience in commercial loans secured by bulk pools of residential assets, and traditional commercial loans secured by commercial properties » Technology-driven, web-based, proprietary software for client access and reporting » Dedicated transaction management team obsessed with servicing clients and their customers COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE: On the one hand, most of its competitors in the default servicing and loss mitigation space are boutique firms that have been in the space a lot longer than Avenue 365. They are often foreclosure law firms offering other services "on the side," or they are narrowly focused on just one component of the lifecycle of distressed assets. Many of them offer the same products, services, processes, stale reports, and stale perspectives they offered 20 years ago. On the other hand, several of Avenue 365's competitors are title insurance underwriters (with whom it respectfully underwrites and competes) that are the juggernaut firms that can handle tens of thousands of loans for the top five banks at one time but who cannot always customize and are not equipped to offer white-glove service. Avenue 365 likes to think it is situated perfectly, right in the middle. It is privately owned, entrepreneurial, quick, nimble, creative, obsessed with service, and able to offer consultative customized products, services, and solutions to its wide array of clients.
