VRM Mortgage Services Awards Grant to U.S. Air Force Veteran VRM Mortgage Services (VRM), an out- sourcing solutions provider for residential and commercial assets, recently announced that it has awarded a $10,000 grant to U.S. Air Force veteran Darryl Lal through the Asian Real Estate Association of America's (AREAA) Education Foundation. Lal, a decorated Fijian-American Veteran, served for six years in the U.S. Air Force earn- ing multiple medals in honor of his service. "I want to thank everyone, from my heart, for making the American Dream come true for me and my family," Lal said at the event. e grant, awarded as part of the founda- tion's 'Welcome Home for Heroes Housing Assistance Grant Program,' was presented by VRM, AREAA, and Veteran's Association of Real Estate Professionals leadership during a ceremony at AREAA's annual convention. e Welcome Home for Heroes Hous- ing Assistance Grant Program is designed to provide housing support to minority Veterans of the United States Armed Forces. e funds can be used to modify an existing home to accommodate service-connected injuries or as downpayment and closing cost assistance. "It's really an honor to be able to provide this grant and help our nation's veterans, like Darryl Lal, earn the home they deserve," said Cheryl Travis-Johnson, chief operating officer for VRM Mortgage Services. "Further, as the daughter of a disabled Veteran, I couldn't be more proud to help play a role in such an important program." "We are proud of our partnership with VRM Mortgage Services in being able to provide this grant to Mr. Lal.
