Kimbrough have been elected to its Board of Directors. e agency stated that the two new directors "are respected and knowledgeable business leaders in the technology and financial services sectors. ey join other similarly dynamic and accomplished individuals on a Board of Directors that continues guiding Fannie Mae in its drive to be America's most valued housing partner." Jonathan Plutzik, Chairman of the Board, said, "I am pleased to welcome Karin and Brian to the Fannie Mae Board of Directors. Kimbrough previously served as Assistant Treasurer for Google since October 2017. Brooks served as the Chief Legal Officer of Coinbase Global, Inc. beginning in September 2018. LEGAL PADGETT LAW GROUP PROMOTES MARISSA M. YAKER Padgett Law Group (PLG) announced that Marissa M. Yaker has been promoted to Managing Attorney over the firm's multi-state foreclosure practice. e promotion includes the firm's foreclosure practices in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Texas. In her new role, Yaker will specifically focus on FHA timelines, general processing timelines, and client education related to foreclosure changes, updates, and news across PLG's multi-state footprint. Yaker's legal practice is primarily focused on creditors' rights and foreclosure. In previous management roles, Yaker has managed first legal in a multistate footprint as well as foreclosure and title curative practices in Florida. McCarthy Holthus, LLP. SCHILLER, KNAPP, LEFKOWITZ & HERTZEL PROMOTES GREGORY J. SANDA Schiller, Knapp, Lefkowitz & Hertzel, LLP announced the promotion of Gregory J. Sanda to its Partner ranks. Sanda is jointly responsible for the firm's complex foreclosure litigation and eviction departments. His practice also focuses on commercial mortgage foreclosures, appellate work, and commercial litigation. For several years, Sanda has instructed on all topics related to foreclosure and has presented at various industry events on developments in foreclosure law, post-foreclosure issues, including eviction, the FDCPA, and other debt collection law and regulation. He is admitted to practice in New York, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Creditors' Association of Upstate New York. TROMBERG LAW GROUP TAKES ON VIRGINIA Tromberg Law Group, one of the largest woman- owned creditor firms in Florida, is expanding into Virginia with a new office located in the heart of Richmond, Virginia. To assist, Tromberg brought on Kelly Gring, an attorney based in Richmond. Gring has spoken on numerous panels and in other continuing legal education seminars. She is licensed to practice in the Supreme Court of Virginia and the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, as well as in the Eastern and Western District Bankruptcy Courts of Virginia, and she became licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia in 2016. She is a seasoned litigator and has appeared in most of Virginia's 133 state courts, the Eastern District of Virginia, and both the Eastern and Western District of Virginia Bankruptcy Courts with regularity. GOVERNMENT FHFA APPOINTS ADOLFO MARZOL AS PRINCIPAL DEPUTY DIRECTOR e Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced the appointment of Adolfo Marzol as the agency's Principal Deputy Director. "I am very pleased that Adolfo will be joining FHFA in such an important capacity," said Mark Calabria, FHFA Director. "His depth and breadth of experience in both the private sector and government will help us maintain FHFA as a world-class regulator." Before joining FHFA, Marzol served for two years as Senior Advisor for Housing to HUD Secretary Dr. Benjamin Carson, where he advised on Federal Housing Administration and Ginnie Mae programs, as well as on housing finance reform.
